Fenix band VIP Charity Gala Dinner

This week has been very up and down for us with some disappointments that may lead us in the wrong direction than expected, so it was a happy surprise to receive the VIP invitation to the Charity Gala and dinner at Östasiatiska (The Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities) in Stockholm from Cawa Media. We love when life is spinning and good energy is flowing, so this week has made us seriously thinking about how to approach next year and find a better balance in cooperations with music.

The gala had a black tie dress code, so the place was crowded with fancy dresses and glamour to light up the Saturday evening! We wore lace jumpsuits in black from Boohoo.com However the purpose for the evening was charity and support for cancer rehab and collect money, which of course is a very important cause! The host of the evening shared her tragical story about being diagnosed with cancer and pregnant at the same time. Luckily her son was born and is alive today and she got treatment for her cancer, but there is also difficult to live with rehab afterwards. The venue at Skeppsholmen is a magnificent place that goes back as long as to the 1700's and king Karl XII. Today it's part of the National Museums of World Culture, a Government agency under the Ministry of Culture, responsible for displaying and bringing to life the various cultures of our world, in particular cultures outside of Sweden.

We started with sparkling drinks at the red carpet and then on to the dinner and the starter as well as main course with an interesting meat dish from around the world. Great entertainment on stage and there was lottery and auction with the dessert. Had a blast meeting up with all the guests and hosts. We even was invited to join the singer on stage to sing "Stad i ljus" from Melodifestivalen/Eurovision 1988!

Paintings in the lottery and auction by the Idol winner Marie Picasso.
One of the guests won a diamond necklace worth 25000 Swedish kronor!
Ready for a Saturday night dance? Have a look at our latest release with the Eurovision star Doinita Gherman from Moldova. We sure hope we can meet up with her soon again and do some new performances together!
Snow has arrived in Stockholm and Xmas is knocking at the door with 1st of December.
We start lighting up our houses and windows in Sweden to handle the darkest period of the year. There is also a strong music tradition around Christmas and we love this time of the year when we also celebrate our birthdays. Check out our latest Christmas releases here if you are looking for new songs to add to your playlist!
